The tour on Mount Trebević where the 1984 Olympic Bobsleigh Track is situated is unbelievable in person, much more so then on the photos you see. The track was constructed for the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo for the luge and bobsleigh events. During the war and siege of Sarajevo it was a strategic point for the occupying forces – with holes drilled in the side of the track for sniper positions. Now it has turned in to an art exhibition with colourful graffiti covering the pipe of the track. On our 1984 Bobsleigh Track tour we will take you from the heart of the city to the outskirts where snipers were positioned and aimed at Sarajevo. You will see the Astronomical Observatory, the Jewish Graveyard – the oldest cemetery of its kind in Europe. Our tour guide will tell you stories of the Olympics, the war and the places that represent both the elements of the city.
